Rude Copper 2002 was Banksy’s first organised commercial print release but by all accounts was anything but organised. Initially intended to be a run of 100 prints this was changed at the last minute to 250 with many extras also printed. Some were signed roughly 50 but no one knows for sure.
This particular piece is numbered from a total edition of 250, though only few copies were signed. Prints were issued on two different types of paper, and most also featured a red ‘Banksy’ stamp in the right hand corner.
