The works from this series of wall sculptures made out of paintings belong to Andy Warhol’s very last works. The work is certified, has the stamp from the Warhol Foundation and is signed (see images attached). Hans Mayer, Warhol’s gallerist at that time, said that there are only four or five versions of this box and mentioned that Warhol had not finished this experiment and that he had planned to produce more of these boxes, but he died before realising them. Hans Mayer also provided a snapshot of Andy Warhol’s studio that was taken shortly before he died (you can see one of these boxes on the floor) and also an installation view from his gallery.
